Brooklyn

I'm a not-so-traditional mother of two. I spend my days working by slinging out food, or as a Barista at a small coffee stand in town. I live with my kids, Xander [7] and Ceilidh [pronounced Kay-Lee, whom is 4], and my sweet as can be significant other, Benji.

In between eco-friendly products, weird food diets, Disney movies mashed between episodes of Lost, The Office & True Blood.. or whatever happened to land in my mailbox from Netflix and homework/sports/attempting at still having some form of social life..I still love cooking [but Benji is a fantastic chef-  and does the majority of our cooking], and, I adore foods from all cultures. I enjoy sipping wine & martini's in quiet, hidden establishments- and fondue [when we actually have a sitter, and someone isn't sick/tired/already asleep on a Saturday night].

I believe in not being materialistic [.. to a point]. Recycling. Being environmentally friendly [and teaching the like, to my children]. The children have a half sister, whom we are very fortunate enough to be close to [and her wonderful, sweet mother as well.]

Fall & Winter turn me to cooking more, and more- and attempting at learning the world of baked goods. These months are by far my favorite and the most comforting to me.

I'm not very entertaining.. this is just my blog.
